Manchester United has proved to be the best team in the Premier League since the X-Max holidays. Though they still maintain the 6th position, their performance has been much improved since the Mourinho regime.

United's new attacking strategies have worked well and yielded many goals. While their midfield is getting more involved in goals in the previous seven games, the defence has also looked sorted to an extent. David De Gea has been great between the sticks and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has impressed everyone with his impressive managerial skills.

However, United has looked weak in certain stages of the game which needs to be corrected very soon. Although the attack has produced goals, it lacks the cutting edge to pose a title-challenge next season.

Despite the difficulties in the Red Devils's Team, United are yet to make a move in the ongoing transfer window.

It is worthy to note  that the January transfer window is vital  for both the next few months and the upcoming season. Therefore, United need to enter into new contracts  before the window shuts, so here are two players that they could aim at.

1 Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid)

Aside Victor Lindelof, Manchester United's defence has not looked persuading so far this season. While they have a couple of defenders out through wounds, players like Phil Jones and Eric Bailly have not been great with their job or role. Additionally, unlike the earlier Manchester United, a central figure at the back like Nemanja Vidic or Rio Ferdinand has been lacking.
Right now, Diego Godin is one of the best central defenders in the world. Adding the Urugyuan National to United's Team could very good and and form a strong squad . The 32-year-old is very experienced and also useful in set pieces, hence, would be perfect winter signing for Manchester United.

 2 Ivan Perisic (Inter Milan)

Series of report indicate that the FIFA World Cup runner-up medal winner Ivan Perisic has been making a move to Manchester United in the past, but no deal taken place. The Croatian winger has been a great goalscorer for his country and Inter Milan in the past few years. He also gives numerous assists frequently and will guarantee goals for his side.

Manchester United has failed to capitalize on their lead in certain games recently because  they lacked creative players up front. Perisic would be able to curb those problems as the Croatian has been adept in finding spaces and utilizing any mistake of the opponents. These qualities make him a perfect option for the Red Devils.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must sign Godin and Perisic within the next few days.
